FPDL consultants offers a collaborative type of consulting, creating partnership relations with their clients and empowering them to take responsibility of the diagnosis, as well as, of the solutions elaboration processes results. From the very beginning each party expectations are clarified and a work-plan is agreed upon, with clear steps and responsibilities. CONSULTING SKILLS TRAINING

Goal

To develop the knowledge and skills of trainers/facilitators to work as organizational and community consultants.

Training materials

The training materials are based on Peter Block “Flawless Consulting” principles and recommendations. The classical “Flawless Consulting” is considered one of the most successful books written about the consulting process.

Training Program design

The training program is based on the experiential learning concepts, using interactive and participatory instruments, to improve not only knowledge, but also skills and attitudes.

During the training participants go through the process and steps of the consulting model and have opportunities to practice both roles, of consultant and clients, in order to better understand their own feelings and attitudes in these roles. And in the end, participants have the capacity to build partnership relations with their future clients, including clear expectations and responsibilities for achieving successfully their common objectives.

Participants elaborate also ideas on how to use the acquired knowledge and skills in their own activities such as: team building, providing consulting services in strategic planning or problem solving processes, designing and facilitating community based interventions.
